Jersey Mike’s Subs Raises $2.1 Million for 100+ Charities During 4th Annual Month Of Giving in March

100% of Sales Go to Charities on March 26 “Day of Giving”

Wrap-Up

Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its authentic fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, joined with its generous customers this March during the 4th Annual “Month of Giving” to raise an unprecedented $2.1 million for more than 100 different charities nationwide.  For the total amount raised in your local market as well as a complete listing of participating restaurants and charities in your area, go to www.jerseymikes.com/mog.

“Our extraordinary customers, franchise owners, team members and charity partners have outdone themselves this year during our 4th Annual Month of Giving,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO.  “We exceeded our goal and are grateful to everyone who helped make a difference in people’s lives.”

During the month of March, customers were invited to come in to their local Jersey Mike’s restaurant and make a donation to a local designated charity partner. The campaign culminated in Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 26, a daylong nationwide event when 100 percent of the day’s sales were donated to each local charity partner. The charity recipients included hospitals, youth organizations, food banks and more.

Last year’s “Month of Giving” raised $1.7 million for 86 local charities. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

Jersey Mike’s believes that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same, a philosophy that has fueled the sub sandwich chain’s popularity.  Following its successful recipe of deliberate, well-considered expansion, Jersey Mike’s has nearly doubled in size in just three years.

Jersey Mike’s, a fast-casual sub sandwich franchise with more than 1,300 locations open and under development nationwide, has a long history of community involvement and support.  Jersey Mike’s serves authentic fresh sliced subs on freshly baked bread – the same recipe it started with in 1956.  The company’s mission is to bring its customers the highest quality, freshest made sub in the industry and give back to the communities in which it operates.  A restaurant locator and franchise information for Jersey Mike’s can be found at www.jerseymikes.com or on Facebook and Twitter.
